WHO: Richmond Clean City Commission, Richmond Department of Public Works, Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA)

WHAT: Looking for an environmentally-friendly method to dispose of your analog televisions during the digital television transition? The City of Richmond encourages its residents to recycle unwanted household electronic items at its annual E-Cycle Day. Electronic products that can be recycled include televisions, computer systems and monitors, fax machines, camcorders, stereos, microwaves, fluorescent light bulbs, and much more.

WHEN: Saturday, March 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

WHERE: Richmond Diamond (blue parking lot)

3301 N. Boulevard

BACKGROUND: The City of Richmond’s E-Cycle Day offers City residents an efficient and green option to recycle unwanted electronic products. Small fees are charged to recycle computer monitors, televisions, and fluorescent light bulbs. These items contain mercury and require special handling. All other household electronic items will be recycled free of charge. For more information on E-Cycle Day, visit www.RichmondGov.com .
