A Success! A thank you from Leah Fremouw:
Leah Fremouw:
Hello everyone,
This past Saturday, 30 students from VCU went into the neighborhood of Oregon Hill to pick up trash. The SGA was joined by Delta Sigma Pi, members from Circle K, and other independent individuals who just came out to get involved. We picked up a lot of trash and recyclables, handed out resource flyers, and interacted with our community. Our efforts even got the attention of the Channel 8 News!

This is just the first event of our Paint the Town Green efforts. Next month we will be targeting the Fan area, so block off your calenders for the last Saturday in February.
I first want to thank everyone who helped to organize this event. There was a joint effort from both the Senate and the Executive to ensure our success. Second, I want to thank everyone who was able to give up their time this past Saturday and participate. The energy was high, we had a good time, and we cleaned up a community.
Thank you for all of your hard work!
